Mrs. Murphy’s Weekly Updates: Here

Mrs. Murphy

Thank you all for coming to and running club fair! Also thanks to all faculty helpers and everyone that came to movie night on Friday. We will have a couple more movie nights as the year goes on. Mrs. Moran needs someone to be Chumley on Saturday from 1:30-4:00pm. If you are interested please email her with the subject “Chumley”. Everyone needs to be wearing masks correctly at all times indoors. In addition no one is supposed to eat indoors unless it is for lunch. October is National Anti-Bullying month so we will be awarding spirit points and a prize for the grade that wears the most blue on October 1st. Lastly, alliance groups will be meeting each day this week (see weekly updates for times).

Officer Darren

Everyone needs to register their Covid tests each week. All students and faculty need to wear lanyards so they are identifiable by security. Juniors and Seniors, please only park in designated spots and if there are none left come to the main entrance and we will find a spot for you.

Science Department

We are starting a Science Olympiad Team for the Upper School. It is a really good chance for leadership; you get to do experiments, other contests, or tests on a large variety of STEM schools.

Ethics Bowl

Ethics Bowl tryouts are coming up! The applications will be emailed out later today (September 28) and tryouts will be held the first week of October. A tryouts schedule will be posted closer to the date. It is open to all students grades 9-12 and there are 3 spots available on the team. Please consider trying out! It is a really fun and rewarding experience that allows you to apply ethical thinking to current issues and develop your public-speaking skills.

Arts Committee

We will start sign ups for Arts and Humanities month performances in all of the lounges. Participants will be able to share any form of art they wish as long as it takes under two minutes.
