May is Asian/Pacific-Islander Month! Throughout the month, we will have people share out to the upper school about what their heritage means to them, a famous Asian/Pacific-Islander historical figure, etc. Adithi started this with her poem about how she sees India. Also, APICA will be hosting our very first APICA Night on Tuesday, May 21st from 6-8! More details to come!
There will be dogs on campus for AP week!
Varsity softball and lacrosse teams will be having home games on Saturday at 2pm. There will be a pie in the face to support ALS.
The past two days the Track team has been running, throwing, and jumping at Union County Relays! Our DMR team placed 8th, our 4x1 placed 9th, our 400 hurdle team place 4th, our shuttle hurdle relay place 6th, our 4x2 placed 5th, our 4x1600 team placed 8th, and our 4x400 team with Kaira, Christiana, Grace and Josie placed 1st!
As an Upper School, we need to lift each other up and not tear each other up. I need you to ask yourselves the following before you repeat something you hear: Is it kind? Is it true? Is it necessary? I want you to think about living by the four pillars - how does talking behind someone's back living with the 4 pillars? So, my point is to shut things down when you hear it. Stand up for each other! Where are you holding the bar in our community?
The winner of the vanishing point contest is… Tanmayee Talla! Thank you to all who submitted!
AP exams start next week! AP students, please keep checking your e-mail in case anything changes regarding start time or locations. Be mindful of hallway noise near the Library. Lastly, the Writing Center will be closed other than for Writing Center appointments until May 21.
