Ms. Murphy

Thank you to all of you for your attentiveness and engagement during the assembly on Thursday, and special thanks to Liz K. and Maya L. for organizing it! As she mentioned, Ms. Wechsler is open to receiving letters from you all, so if you would like to send her a message I will have a collection basket in my office until next Friday, 2/10.


Athletic Association

The grade winners for the ping pong tournament are as follows: 9th Grade- Ella C., 10th Grade- Priyanka S., 11th: Annabelle W., 12th: Ishani W. Congratulations to the winners, and get excited for the inter-grade tournaments!


Student Affairs

Congratulations to the 9th grade for having the most participation during the Groundhog Day Spirit day!


BCA

Thank you to everyone who attended our important meeting this week. Next Friday, Feb 10th will be our annual BCA forum! The theme is “Cut The Cameras: Black People’s Impact on American Entertainment”. It’ll be from 5:30-7:30pm in the Great Room, and there will be refreshments served! Check out this flyer for additional information, and visit this form to RSVP. We hope to see you there! Additionally, there will be a BCA bake sale on the 22nd to help raise money for our spring trip. Lastly, we’ll be holding a Black History Month Cosmic Bowl soon, so look out for a signup email!


Hackathon

A reminder that the KPS Hackathon is coming up on Feb 11 from 9am-5pm! Anyone can participate, regardless of coding experience. We welcome your participation, either virtually or on-campus!


Ms. Hager

Ms. Hager reflected on the tragedy of Tyre Nichols’ murder and urged students to stay aware and vigilant when it comes to keeping informed about incidents such as this one.
