What an amazing EIC x 2 you've been! You've gone from Ballast to Ballast Online to Starboard, and your guidance and persistence has been such a help and inspiration to others. I'm including a photo of one of my first experiments (with Canva) that you and your peers inspired me to try out (so that I could understand just some of the possibilities out there). Congratulations!

To: Neha B.

I literally don't know where to begin. I am going to miss you SO SO much next year while you party it up at Penn with Sim. Siya and I will be there every weekend so be ready. Thank you for being such an amazing friend these past four years (even though you suck at checking your texts :P). I’m gonna miss seeing your flowy pants and smile every day and having someone to laugh at my corny jokes. From awkwardly trying to avoid your dad (what’s his name again? :) sorry I had to) and your dogs to making cringy trillers together, we’ve been through it all. I know you’re gonna KILL IT at Penn and I can’t wait to hear about all the amazing stuff you do <3 p.s. road trip season. is. coming.

From: Chelsie N.

To: Anjolie C.

Anjo Banjo!! Going into this year seemed to be by far, one of the most nerve-wracking experiences I have ever had, before I met you. I'll never forget the first day of school, when you walked into the room with shades and a big, bright smile with coffee and a donut in your hand, and gave it to me with a mega bear hug. That was the moment that I felt things feel a little easier. Walking through the hallways, marching down to lunch, or simply looking across the Great Room, the only thing staring back at me was you and that smile of yours. Thank you so much for being the most amazing senior sister and demonstrating the sisterhood that is so prominent at KP each and every day. I honestly do not know what my high school experience would be like without you, but I do know I don't want to imagine that for one second. You are the big sister that I have ALWAYS wanted, and needed, and I am so glad that I was able to embark on this journey at Kent Place this year, and that I was able to know an amazing soul like you.

From: Keerthi J.

To: Rose C.

Your poise and confidence when you make a MM announcement or a speech in front of the entire school is something to strive towards. From: Erin D.

To: Sofi F.

We first met at some soccer camp in middle school. Who would have thought just a few years later we would be #killing it together on the JV Soccer. Our friendship, however, really didn't ~blossom~ until in theater where we went through it all from rolling on the floor laughing together to crying in each other's arms. Although Mr.Pridham is no longer physically with us, every day I see him in her and know he is so proud. One of the best compliments I have ever received is "you are the Sofi Faris of our grade," because Sofi is everything I aspire to be: talented, freakin hilarious, kind, thoughtful, intelligent, well-spoken, the list REALLY goes on. I have so much to thank her for. Love you Sofi, going to miss you so much next year!!

From: Jenna S.

To: Piper E.

From our shared love of pie to your unwavering kindness and support, you have truly made this year a great one. I remember when you greeted me on the first day of school with a Key Lime Pie (my favorite). It was such a sweet -- pun intended -- and fun way to welcome me to the school. Not to mention the fact that it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Along with feeding me all year, you were a great Peer-Ed leader who always had some pretty interesting stories to tell. On a more somber note, you repeatedly checked in on me and made sure that I was okay after October. I want you to know that I appreciate everything that you did. I'm gonna miss you so much next year! Good luck at Vandy!

Chloe!! Thank you for being so kind to me when I started field hockey as a new freshman to KPS. Your friendly smile made me feel welcomed and I knew that I could always count on you for advice whenever I needed it. Our conversations at the table during Field Hockey games were always something to look forward to. Thank you for saving me when I didn't know how to change the scoreboard and I have NO idea what I am going to do without you next year! Who will keep me company during field hockey games?? I will miss you so much next year and I wish you the best of luck in college!! You will be great! :))

Yean. You're the woat. We became bffs at ROOTS and I'll forever be grateful that you were with me even though you saw me ugly cry everyday. Since then we've gotten super close and you've become the sister I never had. From getting me food to our tea sessions at Smashburger, I've gotta say that we've made some pretty great memories and wild experiences that I genuinely will never forget. You've taught me so much about everything from school to friendships to life and I don't say it a lot, but I appreciate you. You're my OG friend and I can confidently say that I never would've had anywhere near as good of a year as I did without you. I love you, psycho.

Deanna (frying pan, Dean Rivers, gossip girl, etc), This is a little weird. We've always been together so I don't know how to say goodbye to you. Laf’s only an hour away, but still, you’re not gonna be across the hall for me to ask you for opinions on everything. I don't really have advice for you for college but I have a few things to thank you for: thanks for sharing your clothes with me, driving me to school, giving me food, paying for my food, giving me advice about everything, etc. Thanks for dealing with me these past 16 years, and good luck in college! Love you sm (sometimes) (jk) See you around kiddo, Tal :)

Sophie, thank you for being a wonderful GSA co-president. This year was amazing for GSA, and it probably would have been mediocre at best without you. That being said, I am most grateful that we were co-presidents because it made us better friends. You always make me smile, even when you’re making fun of me or begging to hear about my summer. You’re an incredible person, and you inspire me every day. I know you’re going to slay at Yale and in life, but I’m expecting you to keep in touch bc I will miss you deeply. Much love xox

Thank you for encouraging and supporting me in my speech competition. You are honestly one of the coolest people that I’ve ever met, and your support means everything. Additionally, I think it’s adorable that you called me “mini Sophie." It’s one of the best compliments I’ve ever received. Thank you again for making this year so special. Hi Emma! I want to wish you an amazing four years at WashU. You've been in at least one of my classes since that unforgettable Advanced Algebra time in the Annex. I get so happy when I see you in Bio or Precalc because I know I can talk with you about anything and that you'll still have a positive attitude. Senioritis doesn't seem to affect your personality and hard work, and I hope to see you around KPS some time next year. Best, Kiana.

I remember the first day I walked into that Chinese room as a new 6th grader with a room full of intimidating 8th graders. You guys were a bit energetic... but you were all super friendly. Since that day I knew I could count on you to be an amazing friend and role model. Even though you switched out of Chinese, I'm so happy that we have stayed really good friends. I also remember when I was in middle school and you were in the high school and you sent me a bag of those chocolate hearts. That had made my day and was one of the sweetest things anyone has done for me. I can't believe that you are now a senior about to leave me. I love you Adya, and I will miss you so much!!

From: Tarika B.

Just kidding I'm not fine at all I am going to miss you so so much:( I swear that I don't just love you because you bring me boba. I will miss seeing you every morning next to the stairs plus when your parents drag you along to my house/ I come to yours (but not at the library because you definitely were NOT there.) Love you and glad you finally get some Rice for your Indian curry (I had to) p.s. Atinook. Although I couldn't help you manage your temper or help you not walk/dance so stiffly, I know someone in college will take you under their wing (or not). I will miss our endless Facetime calls, our Spanish lessons, our Cuba adventures, and everything else. Go kill it at Swarthmore.

Once upon a time I entered Mrs. Lee's room and a "strange" girl I had never seen before was sitting, drawing within a notebook. I randomly felt compelled to talk to her and that was the start of the wild epic friendship of Naomi and Tyler haha. It still baffles me that we became friends out of such a random encounter, for it feels like I've known you for years. I love your quirky, artsy, personality. You are such a kind and compassionate person and I'm so glad I met you, for you are always a positive light within my life. I can't wait to create more memories with you and finally go to the park and draw together. ;) you'd better vist me often. Love ya Naomi

You've got the coolest vibe and I'm so glad that I've been able to get close to you this year and find someone that I can rely on. You live your life to the fullest and that's honestly how I'm tryna be. I promise that in your honor I'm gonna try my very best to not get 7 minors next year, you Judiciary queen. You've made my year one to never forget and I can't wait to see all the sick things you'll accomplish at BU. Never stop wearing your crocs, never stop making makeup hauls, never stop being you. Thanks for being my literal sister. Miss you already :)

GIRL, I can’t believe you’re graduating. It seems like just yesterday we were making secret clubs with passwords, playing pantsing tag, and eating rice every day after Middleton. Look at you now! Even though I can’t bear to think about not having you at school every day or sleeping on Tuesdays or eating all of our ice cream sandwiches, I can’t wait to see the amazing things your future holds.
