Exchange Students

The Australian exchange students would like to thank Kent Place School for welcoming them into the community. We would especially like to thank the Sophomores and their teachers for making this experience unforgettable. A special thank you to our hosts for letting us into their families and lives. THANK YOU!

 

Student Affairs

Handing out a lot of Spirit Points! Currently the seniors are in the lead, and will be receiving the chair in their common room soon.

 

Community Service

Payment for the Chocolate Hearts will be collected this week!

 

Girls Outdoors

If you're interested in going on the Girls Outdoors Winter Outing, which is snowshoeing at High Point Cross Country Ski Center this Sunday (2/10/19), you can pick up permission slips from the Dean's Office. There is a $20 deposit, which can be in cash or a check made out to Kent Place School. Permission slips and deposits are due by 3:30 on Thursday (2/7/19) in the Dean's Office. We hope to see a lot of you there!

 

Winter Track

This week at NJSIAA preps we placed 2nd in Group A!!! In the 55 meter Dash, Christiana places 1st, Arielle placed 5th, Ryenn placed 6th. In the 200, Kaira placed 1st, Christiana placed 2nd, and Arielle placed 5th. Kaira placed 1st in the 400. Arden placed 6th in the 800. In the Mile, Maggie placed 3rd, and Miranda placed 5th. Miranda placed 1st in the 2 Mile. Josie placed 3rd in the 55 Hurdles. Eileen placed 6th in Shot Put. Our 4x400 (Kaira, Grace, Christiana and Arielle) placed 1st. Look out for more track stars as we’ll be competing at the Varsity Classic meet this Monday!
 

Ms. Gordon

Letters regarding AP exams were mailed last week. Please watch for them at home. The final deadline is Feb. 22, but try to get them in by Feb. 15.

 

GSA

Many, many, many thanks to everyone who helped with Project Prism--which was a huge success!

 

Basketball

We won our game against Governor Livingston on Friday. Thank you to everyone who came out to support. It was really great having everyone cheering us on and bringing so much energy into the gym.

 

Ice Hockey

On Friday, we played Westfield for the MUGIHL tournament and won 8-1. We play Summit on Wednesday in the next round.
