The Ethics Bowl Team won the state competition for a third year in a row and is now advancing to the national competition in North Carolina, which will take place in April.

Baggywrinkle
Baggywrinkle will be having its second meeting this Thursday during lunch in Dr. Schwartz's room. Works that are shared are encouraged, but not required, to follow a holiday theme. For pizza at the meeting, you should pay $3 by Thursday @10:30 (more info will be sent about signup to buy pizza).
Lit Loose
Lit Loose's book meeting for Everyone's an Aliebn is Friday! Monday Dec 17 is KP's first annual book swap! Bring a book wrapped in paper or newspaper (eco friendly) and exchange it for a new book! Both of these events will be during lunch. Look out for a link to order food.
Robotics
The robotics team had our second competition this Sunday in Livingston. Everyone did a great job, and we are looking forward to our next competition in January!
Vlada Taits
As Gabby and Jilly made announcements last week about how they celebrate the Jewish holidays, I will be adding on to it and sharing my connection. My family is very connected to Israel and the country has been a huge part of me growing up. Both of my parents immigrated to the U.S. from the former Soviet Union but neither of them could come directly here. My dad went to Israel because at the time Israel was a new nation, only been founded in 1948 and accepting refugees. My dad became a citizen and had to complete mandatory military service for two years. Israel still has mandatory military service to this day. He made his best friends living there and they are people who are very close to my family. After hearing so much about it from my dad, I stayed there for a month this past summer. I did a program where I learned about the history of the country, saw the sights, but also to give back to the country. I participated in all sorts of community service events such as planting trees, picking fruits, and painting schools. I'm very grateful and proud to have a connection to Israel.
Ice hockey
Ice hockey had a game against Princeton Day School last Friday, and we won. We have a game tomorrow against Mo Beard at Twin Oaks at 3:45.
