Hispanic Heritage Month

Karla discussed how being from the Dominican Republic affected her personal values growing up.

Bella discussed her Colombian identity and how she cherished her quinceañera.

 

Pep Squad

The last of auditions will be today during conference. Practices will be during orchestra and chorale.

 

Sam and Josie

The winners of this year’s Powderpuff are the Seniors! We will be keeping track of "spirit points" during different events, such as Spirit Week and big athletic games. The poster will be placed on the mantel in the Great Room!

 

Baggywrinkle

Baggywrinkle is holding its first meeting this Thursday at lunch in Dr. Schwartz’s room! We are Kent Place’s literary sharing circle, where you can present your own writing, music, really anything in an open-mic  setting. To start off the year, we are holding a scavenger hunt! Signs will be posted around the Great Room with a list of items to collect from around the school. The person or group who gathers the most items from the list and comes to the meeting will receive a really awesome prize! We hope to see you all there. —Maya and Afia

 

Cargoes

Cargoes will be having their first meeting on Tuesday at 11:30 in Mr. Gates room! Doors are open to anyone who is interested!! :)

 

Cross Country

Cross Country has its Conference Championships on Tuesday! We’ll be racing against Oak Knoll!

 

Ethics

Dr. Rezach will remind interested students about two women entrepreneurs who will speak during Genius Block tomorrow afternoon.

 

IDG Festival Committee

Thank you so much to everyone who attended, volunteered at, or ran a booth at the International Day of the Girl Festival this weekend! We hope that you learned something new and that your perspective was changed in some way. We are calculating how much we raised for BlinkNow and will update you soon. See you next year!

At 1:30, there will be a mandatory meeting for seniors to discuss voting registration.

 

Soccer

We beat Dayton on Saturday! Tuesday is our SENIOR NIGHT against Union Catholic (home at 4). Thursday we play Linden Away at 4. Saturday we play New Providence Away at 10am. Our Oak Knoll game is now scheduled for Oct. 27th!!

 

Field Hockey

We won our semi final county game against ALJ 4-0! We will have two games this week as well.
