Senator Kean

Senator Kean visited Kent Place to congratulate the Ethics Bowl on their win at Nationals last year!

Dr. Galambos

Dr. Galambos and Dr. Barovero will be hosting an open discussion regarding yesterday’s hearing during lunch today. All opinions are welcome!

Girls Outdoors

The Girls Outdoors camping trip (on the weekend of October 13-14) is coming up! If you can come, you need to fill out all the forms and get them to either me Jilly or Ms. Chaffee-Cohen by Monday. You can find the forms in Ms. Murphy and Ms. Gordon’s office. Get excited!!

Judiciary

Judiciary reviewed how to use “gifts” as explained in page 59 of the Handbook.

Kent place had two games this week!

International Day of the Girl 5k and Festival

Part 1: October 11th is the official International Day of the Girl as designated by the United Nations. Kent Place will celebrate on October 13th with a 5K Race and Festival. Buy your International Day of the Girl T-shirt now and wear it to school on Thursday, October 11th! T-shirts are $20 each, payable in cash or check made out to Kent Place School. To order, please email Sophie or Aiden and complete the bottom portion of the flyer they will send you; return this back to them by 10/1. T-shirts will be available for pick up on Tuesday, October 10th during morning drop off and at lunch. Sizes are available on a first come, first served basis. Please note: If you are registered for the 5K you will receive a t-shirt as a part of your registration fee. If you’d like to pick up your shirt early so they can participate on October 11th you are welcome to do so, but you will still need to pick up the racing bib on the day before or on the day of the race. If you are a volunteer for this event you will be given a volunteer t-shirt.

Part 2: There will be a booth at the 5k representing two charities: Children’s Youth Foundation and Blink Now. Both of these booths will be selling bags and other goods made by women in Nepal. All proceeds with go to these charities. If you want to volunteer to man the booth for an hour or two at the 5k, email either Skyler at fords19@kentplace.org or Catherine at torresc19@kentplace.org.

Volleyball

Volleyball is 6-0! This week we defeated both Linden and Cranford in two sets! Today we have a home game against Summit at 4:30. Please come out to support!
